Our Guild enjoyed seeing their fellow member's take on the 2026 Challenge Project. We were told to take a finished or unfinished item and reimagine it into a new finished item. Our only limits were: NO NEW PURCHASES to use to finish it. Most of us were successful in this limitation. We had another wonderful day sewing for Charity in our annual Yard of Bricks Race. We honor our Indiana roots with races that mirror the events held at our storied Indianapolis Motor Speedway each year. We started with a May race to honor the Indianapolis 500 using Jelly Rolls to race to victory. We award prizes to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers, but we don't make them "kiss" the bricks. LOL. We enjoyed a wonderful meeting with Toad and Sew Taylor Krz presenting her trunk show and sharing the story of her quilting life. what a colorful inspiration she was. Taylor later taught a color class and will present another class on one of her patterns the day after the meeting. Taylor shared a Trunk Show of her very dynamic and bold quilts.
