Printable PDF

Mudsock Quilters Guild is a not-for-profit organization designed to bring people together with a love of quilting. We encourage camaraderie, learning from one another, and educational opportunities led by quilting experts. We also promote philanthropy by participating in various charity quilt programs. This is a quick list of terms used in our meetings, please see our website for details/instructions. Dates for our General Meetings are under Join above. All contact information and guild events can be accessed by members through the log-in on our website.

BLOCK OF THE MONTH – Each month we present a block for the members to make and return for a chance to win the blocks when they enter their name in the drawing. You can make as many blocks as you like, but may only enter your name up to 5 times. This year we are also doing a QAL at home by making the blocks for your own quilt. Members can find the patterns and photos under Members: BOM. Some months there may also be a helpful slideshow or video.

BUS TRIP – Occasional bus trip to a quilt show or place of quilty interest, usually 2-3 days in length.

CHALLENGE PROJECT– Each year Programs organizes a guild ‘challenge,’ with unique themes and/or requirements. The ‘challenge’ criteria are announced, then members wishing to participate will typically have 3-4 months to complete a piece that aligns with the criteria. It’s fun to see how members come up with their own interpretation of the ‘challenge’ guidelines, as they show their quilt/project in a guild meeting. There is no right or wrong interpretation and the goal is for all to participate no matter what their skill level.

CHARITY FABIC DONATIONS – We are pleased to take fabric donations from Guild members and/or non-Guild members. We do request only yardage from 1/4 yard to larger, precuts that are packaged, or kits.
